Meet the midwife
Hi! I’m Laura, a Minnesota licensed and nationally certified homebirth midwife serving Rochester and surrounding communities. Birthwork has been a calling for me that began both long before and with the birth of my own children born at home with midwives in upstate New York. Moving my young family back to our roots in Minnesota three decades ago continued my path to becoming a career midwife.
Pregnancy and birth at home
At Laura the Midwife I provide primary care midwifery services for birthing families in the Rochester area which includes complete prenatal, labor/birth and postpartum care of both parent and baby.
You and your baby
Your complete birth package includes primary care from early pregnancy through labor, birth and postpartum all within the comfort of your own home. Included are personalized care from your midwife, a two attendant birth team, all of the supplies needed for your planned homebirth, newborn screenings and primary care for both you and your baby for up to eight weeks following birth.
